Meet Amy Vaccaro! | Morris Bernards Moms

Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?
I have lived in New Jersey most of my life, and have called Mendham home for 11 years now. I am grateful for this wonderful community – such a special place to live in and raise a family.

Child(ren) and Age(s)?
We have a 10 year old girl and 7 year old boy. I cherish watching our children grow, and love capturing their special and everyday moments in photos that my family can look fondly upon for years to come. My goal is to provide clients with that same joy.

Favorite things to do with your kids?
It’s the simple things – spending time with our children in the garden, playing with them on the tree swing as they giggle, or playing a board game together – these are a few of my favorite things to do with our kids. I especially cherish when they call me up at bedtime to sing songs together.

Are you involved in a business venture or corporate world? Please Share!
Yes! I am the owner of Fine Life Photography, a portrait and commercial photography company. Capturing genuine moments and emotion through my camera’s lens is a joy for me. I pride myself in having a friendly, unobtrusive, and patient style. My specialty is working in natural light and environments to create classic timeless images for clients to enjoy for years to come. You can find some of my work, and probably see friends that you know on Instagram or Facebook

If you could give one tip to fellow Mom Entrepreneurs what would it be?
Do what you love! I find my job so uplifting because I am surrounded by such wonderful people, who I consider friends. The sweet notes I receive from my clients, holiday cards (I keep them all!), and kind words that they share with me mean so much.

One thing people would be surprised to know about you…
Prior to being a photographer and mom, I enjoyed a career in consumer packed goods marketing. Now instead of being on photo shoots for products, I get to be behind the camera!

How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
Fine Life Photography would not exist without the encouragement and support of all of you! It started when a few local moms saw images I posted online, and asked me to take some for them. I am so grateful to those women who believed in and encouraged me; they are still my clients and friends today. I look forward to the upcoming Fall portrait season – I can’t wait to see everyone again, and meet new families too!
