Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in the area?
I grew up in Short Hills and my husband grew up in Millburn. We actually met each other in Preschool! We moved to Chatham two weeks before our oldest was born, so we’ve been here for over 11 years.

Are you involved in a business venture or corporate world? Please Share!
Business venture! My Dad, brother and I have a family investment group called Sheridan Investment Group, where we are entirely dedicated to the franchise industry. We currently own and operate eight Five Guys Burgers and Fries, all of which are located in Essex and Bergen county, and four Radiant Waxing Salons located in Morristown, Florham Park, Westfield, and Paramus. My brother focuses mostly on Five Guys and I focus mostly on Radiant Waxing. Also, for those of you that remember Lunchbox Wax, this was our previous name. The corporate company that owns the Radiant Waxing Franchise decided to rebrand in May 2022. So for those of you that visited Lunchbox Wax in the past, we are the same business but with a new name!
When did you decide you wanted to open your own Waxing Studios?
We opened our first waxing salon in Westfield in 2015 and opened Morristown shortly after that. Then about two years ago we decided we wanted to expand our Radiant Waxing footprint, which led us to open Florham Park in June 2022 and we just opened our fourth salon in Paramus this month!
Has beauty and self care always been a part of your life?
Self-care has always been part of my life, but especially after becoming a Mom. I love working out and taking time for myself. I truly believe this helps me to be a better person and mom to my three children.
What is your favorite part about owning a franchise?
First, I get to work with a great team in all of our salons. Second, every day is different and I’m constantly learning new things.
If you could give one tip to fellow Mom Entrepreneurs what would it be?
There is always something to be done when you own your own business. I know I’m guilty of this just as much as anyone else, but make sure to put the phone down and spend time with your friends and family. It’s too easy to only think about work when it’s your own business! Also, don’t shy away from asking questions. There is always someone you can learn from.

I played Ice Hockey in college!

1 – Favorite thing to do with your kids? Skiing. This year all the hard work was worth it as we have three kids that ski now! It’s only a matter of time until I’m struggling to keep up with them.
2 – Favorite coffee spot? TM Ward in Chatham
3 – Favorite lunch place? Sorriso Kitchen in Chatham
4 – Favorite farm to go fruit picking? We actually didn’t make it fruit picking last fall. Fall sports got in the way! But in the past we’ve loved Riamede Farm and hope to get there this year for apple picking.
5 – Favorite date night restaurant? Fiorino in Summit. Or Five Guys in Vauxhall 😉
6 – Favorite boutique? No. 18 in Summit
7 – Favorite spot to grab a drink? Any of my girlfriend’s couches
8 – Who has the best bagels in town? My husband and I disagree on this one. I think Chatham Bagels and he thinks Noah’s Bagel, both in Chatham
9 – Best slice of pizza in town? Hickory Tree Pizza – the owners there are great as well!
10 – Favorite spot for ice cream? Scoops!!
