Noe Pond Club: A Beloved Local Treasure! - Morris Bernards Moms

Since 1955, Noe Pond Club has been a summer haven for families craving a return to simple pleasures: freshwater swims, tennis matches with neighbors, and carefree days that feel like a throwback to an earlier era. We recently had the pleasure of speaking with Club Manager John DiGiorgio about what makes Noe Pond such a special place—and why local families keep coming back, generation after generation in our latest interview.

Q: John, what sets Noe Pond Club apart from other summer destinations?

John DiGiorgio:
“From the start, our mission has always been about community. Noe is a family club through and through. We want kids to have a safe, fun environment where they can flourish. Whether that’s learning to swim, making lifelong friends, or simply exploring nature, it’s about giving families an old-fashioned outdoor experience you can’t always find these days.”

Q: Noe Pond has such a rich history. Can you share a little about that?

John:
“Absolutely. We were established in 1955, and over the years, we’ve grown into a place with a storied history. Generations of families have come here to relax, connect, and create memories. You’ll see parents who grew up at Noe bringing their own kids now. That continuity is really special.”

Q: It sounds like a wonderful spot for adults too. What can grown-ups look forward to?

John:
“While the kids are busy swimming or playing tennis, parents can enjoy downtime with friends and neighbors. Whether you’re catching up on the beach, joining a fitness class, or just relaxing in the sun, Noe offers that balance of activity and relaxation.”

Q: Tell us about the Noe Kids’ Program—it sounds like a dream for parents looking to keep little ones active.

John:
“Our Kids’ Program is one of the things we’re most proud of. It’s open to children ages 3 to 11, and we break them up into age groups so everyone feels comfortable. Each morning, the kids swim, play games, make arts and crafts, and just soak up the outdoors with their friends. We have weekly themes and special events, so there’s always something new to look forward to.”

“Older kids can also take tennis lessons if they’d like. And if parents want a little extra time, we offer our ‘Lunch Bunch’ so kids can stay until 1 pm.”

Q: For kids who love sports, you have something extra, right?

John:
“Yes—Sports Quest is fantastic for ages 7 to 11. It’s a chance for kids to learn the fundamentals of four different sports throughout the week while having a ball with their friends. It’s active, engaging, and a great way to build confidence.”

Q: How flexible is the program for families with busy schedules?

John:
“Very flexible. You sign up by the week, so you can choose the week or weeks that fit best for your family. Whether you want to do just one week or the whole summer, it’s up to you.”
