Easy Homemade Peanut Butter Cups | Morris Bernards Moms

Nothing says Easter in our house quite like peanut butter cups. And while our chocolate making skills are not perfect (this is real life people!) we are huge fans of making our own peanut butter cups because (1) they taste amazing and (2) they are super simple to make.

Here’s what you’ll need to make them yourself:

1 cup smooth peanut butter (whatever your favorite is)
1/2 cup powder/ confectioners sugar
2 lbs (ish) of milk chocolate melting wafers. I love these
*you can also use milk chocolate chips, or any chocolate you have around the house!
Chocolate Molds, I love these Easter ones or these plain Round ones are great too!

Directions:

1 – Melt the chocolate wafers or chips in the microwave with a small amount of vegetable or coconut oil in 30 sec increments (1/4 teaspoon per 12 oz bag) until smooth
2 – Put a small amount of the melted chocolate in your molds to coat the bottom + sides. Put that in the fridge for 10 mins or until the chocolate hardens
3 – Mix together the peanut butter with powder sugar until well blended
4 – Once the chocolate is hard, add the peanut butter layer into the mold. Fill with desired amount
5 – Add top layer of chocolate to cover the peanut butter
6 – Put back in the fridge for 30 mins or until completely hard

ENJOY!
