Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?
I am originally from North Caldwell, NJ. We moved to Basking Ridge nine years ago for a very short time before having to move out to Utah for my husband’s job. However, as you can imagine, I was really homesick out there, so we moved back less than two years later. And so we’ve been settled in Basking Ridge for the last six years.
Child(ren) and Age(s)?
I have a daughter named Georgie (8 years old) and a son named Garvie (6 years old).
One thing people would be surprised to know about you…
I used to be a cheerleader.
Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through parenthood?
My mom was an incredible help when the kids were young. She even flew out to Utah every couple months to be able to help me with my baby. She was always there to listen to my struggles and offer constructive solutions. Although my mom passed away last December, her lessons and the examples she set for me continue to guide me through parenthood.
Favorite things to do with your kids?
I love doing anything active with my kids – skiing, hiking, climbing, running, you name it! On the total opposite end of the spectrum, I also love cuddling up and watching a movie with them when I have the chance.
Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or in the corporate world? Please share!
I am a personal trainer who focuses on making women and moms feel and look better. I recently started my brand AmbyrFyt, which was launched on Facebook and Instagram, to help share my workouts, fitness tips, exercise ideas and helpful articles. My website AmbyrFyt.com and my social media channels (@AmbyrFyt) serve as resources for all women and moms, some are my clients or most are just fitness lovers, to help them get in a great workout whether they’re in the gym or at home or even at their kid’s football game. I love getting feedback from followers and also interacting and engaging with women and moms all over the world!
How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
The women and moms that I train and interact with are the reason for my success. They support each other and at the same time, they support me. They help AmbyrFyt grow by bringing new moms into our Small Group Training and telling others in the area about the fun we have during our workouts. And as much as it’s my job to motivate and support these women, this is really what they do for me. I have met some of the most amazing women, and I am motivated by their drive, their dedication, their intelligence, their strength and their hearts. I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.
Be sure to follow Ambyr on Social Media or schedule a training session with her and get FYT this year!
