Let’s start with the basics—where are you originally from, and what brought you to this area? How long have you been living here?
Answer: I grew up right here in Morris Plains. Aside from leaving for college and residency, I have lived here my entire life. My husband and I were excited to settle down in Morris Plains because it truly feels like home and we love being part of this community
Tell us about your family! How many kiddos do you have, and what ages/stages are they in?
Answer: I have two little ones, a 3.5-year-old daughter and a 2.5-year-old son. They keep us laughing every day. They are super silly, super loving, and full of
personality. They are in preschool now and just getting old enough to try out some organized sports, which has been so much fun to watch.
You grew up right here in Morris Plains. What does it mean to you to now raise your family and build your orthodontic practice in the same community?
Answer: It means everything to me. Morris Plains is where I grew up, where my family is rooted, and where so many of my favorite memories were made. Being able to raise my own children here and build my practice in the same community feels incredibly special. It truly feels like things have come full circle.
What inspired you to choose orthodontics, and at what moment did you realize creating smiles would be your life’s work?
Answer: My own orthodontist inspired me, not only through her clinical skills but through the practice culture she created. The connection she formed with her patients showed me how impactful this specialty can be. I wanted to build that same sense of trust and belonging within my own community. Orthodontics blends art, science, and long-term relationships in such a unique way. You truly get to know your patients and follow them through an important stage of their lives. Helping someone achieve a confident smile is an incredibly rewarding experience, and it is what confirmed that orthodontics was the perfect fit for me.
What services do you offer at Morris County Orthodontics?
Answer: At Morris County Orthodontics we love helping kids, teens, and adults get smiles they feel great about. We offer traditional braces, clear braces, and Invisalign, along with early orthodontic evaluations and treatment for bite and jaw development concerns. Every patient gets a personalized plan, and we work hard to make the entire experience positive, comfortable, and genuinely fun from start to finish.
What’s one piece of advice you’d give to parents who are considering orthodontic care for their child but aren’t sure when or where to start?
Answer: The best place to start is with a simple orthodontic consultation. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends a screening starting at age seven, and while most kids do not need treatment yet, an early check helps ensure everything is developing properly. It also gives families the chance to choose a practice that feels personal and consistent. Many families prefer privately owned orthodontic offices because you see the same doctor throughout treatment and build a trusting, long-term relationship. Orthodontics is a journey and working with a team you connect with makes all the difference.
As a mom and a business owner, what has been the biggest challenge in juggling both roles — and what’s helped you stay grounded?
Answer: The biggest challenge has been wanting to give one hundred percent to both my family and my practice at the same time. Some days the balance feels smooth and some days it feels pretty close to impossible, but what keeps me grounded is remembering what we are building for the community I grew up in and the community my kids will grow up in. Having a supportive family truly makes all the difference. My kids remind me to slow down, laugh, and keep everything in perspective. I am so lucky to have my family and close friends nearby and having such a strong support system has been invaluable.
