Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in the area?
I was born in Alaska, and then moved to California, but grew up in upstate NY (Orange County). I moved to Morristown in 2013 to work at Morristown Medical Center. That is when I met my husband and now I am a Jersey girl!

Are you involved in a business venture or corporate world? Please Share!
Yes! I’m the Owner of Glo Esthetics, in Far Hills NJ. As a Nurse Practitioner, my entire career has been in medicine. The decision to open a business was definitely outside of my comfort zone. Luckily having my husband as a partner, many aspects of business, i.e. marketing and strategic planning are in good hands, so I can focus on providing the best medical services to our clients.
When did you decide you wanted to open your own Medical Spa?
We officially started Glo Esthetics in 2016. My husband navigated social media and marketing. I had not a single client to start. Slowly I built a strong client base by sticking to the fundamentals of Glo which focus on safety, efficacy, natural aesthetic goals and building clients up rather than taking advantage of insecurities.
Has helping women (and and men) look and feel their best always been a part of your life?
In a way, yes. Early in my career, as a Nurse, I worked in Trauma ICU and later as a Nurse Practitioner in Heart Failure. Whether dealing with sudden life altering injury or chronic illness with a poor outlook, my patients always came to me in an extremely vulnerable state. My job has always been to give the best possible medical care, with the goal of providing patients an improved quality of life. However, to accomplish that goal, I had to go deeper. I had to understand each individual at their core. There are often insecurities that coincide with one’s appearance and aging. Frankly, those feelings can be prominent in both men and women. Being human, I have experienced them myself. Having felt those feelings has provided me with great context and insight into my patients. I take it as a personal responsibility to help others feel good and minimize negative voices.
If you could give one tip to fellow Mom Entrepreneurs what would it be?
A big driving force for me to leave the comfort of working in the hospital and pursue my vision of aesthetic medicine, was my daughter. We started Glo in 2016, but it was not until 2019, after having my daughter, that I made the jump. I did it for her. I had to show her that I was going to fight for my happiness. It is so difficult to just be a parent. However, if you jump into being an entrepreneur for the right reasons, live your “Why” and work your butt off, you are setting an excellent example for your kids that words can never replicate.
One thing people would be surprised to know about you…
I was emancipated at the age of 17.
